Transcript: A nice little afternoon for myself, a lot of energy today. Again, um, I left my house around 12 and went on a bike ride to go get some espresso from, I forget the name of this place, um, somewhere off of the university. Um, it was a nice, like kind of chill place. Spent my time mostly outside and just brought two notebooks and my iPad. And it's amazing to me that how not having a computer, a real computer forces me to do other kinds of thinking and how putting myself in a different space also forces me to do different kinds of thinking. And I think I made a bit of progress generally speaking on, well, getting closer to something like a pitch deck. Um, and yeah, I don't know. It was nice to just be in a new space to be able to think in a kind of different way, um, curious to keep exploring some new places, but I also am very curious. Well, rather I went on a bike ride after that and just to get energy out. Cause I had so much energy just coursing through me that I needed to just move it around. So I went for a bike ride and that was really great just to kind of enjoy and slow back down and also just reflect on the afternoon and it was nice. And now I'm home, I've come up with a bunch of things that I need to do this weekend, basically getting myself set up for next week and not worrying about needing to grind on anything, but instead, um, yeah, just getting things set up, what am I going to eat? Um, what, yeah, just any, anything. So I'm going to do that cause my brain is clearly faltering here, but yeah.

This morning, after sleeping in, I enjoyed a slow start, making eggs with shallots and riding my bike to Mnemonic for a unique and fantastic espresso. I spent around two hours at Mnemonic writing and thinking, followed by a bike ride to Tacos El Gordo before returning home. Back home, I experimented with purified water for coffee brewing and general health reasons, purchasing three gallons from OB Water to see if it makes a difference. I'm ending my day with plans to read "Positioning" and acknowledging that my to-do list will likely extend into the weekend.

Today was eventful with a pleasant dinner party I hosted for Caroline, Patrick, and Kyle, reuniting this group for the first time in two years. The evening was filled with meaningful conversations, vulnerability, and appreciation for the company. I also visited Nick to help with their business spreadsheets, exploring potential additional income. Tomorrow's plans include a bike ride to Mnemonic to spend time writing and reflecting on recent discussions, fueled by energy and an espresso.

I had a relaxing day but I'm looking forward to starting work tomorrow, feeling rejuvenated and eager to dive into my tasks. Although I enjoyed my downtime, by evening I was ready to be productive again. My plans include making a dashboard live, getting feedback, and building new UI components, acknowledging that these projects will take time. For the rest of the evening, I plan to relax after having chicken and asparagus for dinner, and I might do some shopping tomorrow or possibly wait until Wednesday.

Today was an incredibly energetic and successful day for me. I maintained high energy levels throughout, even though I experienced a slight dip in the afternoon. The highlight was bringing the Mac mini network to life, which now runs a real machine learning model on commodity hardware capable of serving a production-grade API. This milestone makes me extremely excited and marks a significant achievement in the stability and capability of our API. Additionally, I cooked a delicious spinach, garlic, and butter pasta for lunch, with plenty left over for future meals. I also have enough chicken and couscous for another meal, ensuring a tasty week ahead. In the evening, I enjoyed outdoor activities, including riding my bike and slacklining with my friend Ryan in the park. Following this, I had a productive call with Dave and concluded my day with a simple dinner. As the day comes to an end, I plan to meditate and sort out my climbing gear, though I might skip showering since I'll be surfing tomorrow. A bit of kitchen cleanup is also on my to-do list, but overall, I feel immensely satisfied with how the day unfolded. Now, it's time to wind down, embrace the feeling of tiredness, and allow myself to take a much-deserved break.
This morning started off late due to a restless night dreaming about the Vision Pro, but it turned out wonderfully. I played disc golf with my friend Ryan and managed to get some writing done, which felt awesome. Later, Keith joined us for more disc golf, and we also spent some time slacklining. I biked to and from the disc golf course, adding a pleasant touch to the day. For lunch, I tried a new place called Chris Ono Grinds and had their volcano chicken, which unfortunately didn't meet my expectations due to its excessive sweetness. Despite that, the day was filled with simple joys like spending quality time with friends without any drama or expectations, just enjoying each other's company. As for the rest of my plans, I'm contemplating a trip to Culp Valley but also recognize the need to focus on completing tasks and making food for myself. Though I want to balance leisure and productivity, I'm aiming for a more significant focus to achieve meaningful progress. In essence, today reinforced the importance of connecting with friends and finding balance in life's activities.

I fulfilled my 2024 goal of deepening relationships tonight. I rode my bike looking for puddles to splash in after the rain, but found none. Instead, I had a rewarding conversation with Claire and Sam at Ichiban. This interaction was very satisfying.

After a hike, I encountered Steph, leading to ongoing communication about hosting events. We discussed her co-organized salon on the AI alignment problem in March and my interest in hosting a website-building event during startup week, potentially in April or May. We also contemplated a tool for managing our projects and events, like a specialized project management software. Further, we talked about the connection between online communities and the physical gatherings they can inspire, emphasizing the cyclical relationship between the two.

The speaker did not complete their weekly review, which usually provides clarity and insights for the upcoming week. Despite this, they have many projects, personal life commitments, and community efforts to attend to, not to mention taxes. They plan to set week intentions using voice instead of writing, including the exploration of websites for the Diagram Website Explorers Club and developing a Canvas element-based editor for Daily Jam. The technical aspects of this project involve real-time data updates, efficient pixel manipulation, and secure user authentication through tokenization. A function is set to run every five seconds to update the canvas with the latest pixel data, ensuring all viewers see a consistent image while minimizing performance impacts. Other tasks include preparing tax paperwork, organizing Boulder events for systems and AI, and sketching ideas for a project called "co-net." The intention is to spend more time outdoors in the nice weather and to schedule the next "Site Craft Hang," while thinking about potential content for the "Explorers Club" website. Overall, it's a productive Monday morning with good weather contributing to a positive start to the week.
