Transcript: Something awesome yesterday was while walking around OB with Kyle, there was the pledge basically to have our local government buy SDG&E and turn the utility public. And I walked by and I said, fuck, yeah, fuck, fuck SDG&E. Cause fuck SDG&E. And yeah, I was probably so stoked. And I signed that and I was so stoked to sign it and they didn't even have to convince me. I was, I was ready. I was like, give me, give me that thing. I'll fucking sign it. Which is really fun. And it's also just reminding me of well, I was watching a video on, on passenger rail in the U S and it's just reminding me of my passion for infrastructure and rail and better ways of, of doing mass transit or transit generally in the U S and trying to understand what is reasonably viable given our, our situation and economics and, and, and how people live their lives. So, yeah. Curious, curious, curious, curious.

This project serves as a reminder to be grateful, mostly because reflections revolve around things that bring happiness and gratitude, highlighting a positive default mindset. After a morning surf at Swami's with a longboard lent by Kyle, the experience was a mix of thrilling drops and spills, as well as an adjustment to the board's different feel and the technique required to maneuver it. The waves at Swami's were mellow enough to encourage trying without much fear, making the session enjoyable despite a few wipeouts. Despite the stormy conditions with wind and rain, the day turned out better than expected, providing mediocre to good waves for surfing, making it a pleasantly surprising day.
Today, I started my morning with paratha and eggs, then biked to Mnemonic Coffee where I caught up with Eric Scogin. We had a great conversation at the coffee shop followed by a pleasant walk through Balboa Park. Eric shared a bit about his project related to the outdoor industry, which caught my interest. I'm looking forward to learning more about it once he's back in Minneapolis. I also had the chance to meet his four-year-old daughter Freya, his wife Ashley, and their grandmother Colleen, who's from San Diego. The encounter was delightful, and I'm thrilled about this new connection. Now, feeling motivated and happy about how the day began, I'm about to bike home.

Today was quite eventful for me. It started off with a peaceful morning where I enjoyed coffee and eggs; I love waking up naturally. My work focused on making various installations easier to manage in a private version of Burrito, aiming for smoother access and queries - a slow but steady process. Apart from work, I engaged in several conversations and calls throughout the day. My first discussion was with Nick, pondering over the potential of starting a company related to a hotel concept we thought of. It's an idea I need to dwell on more tonight. Lunch was home-cooked ramen, a comforting choice. Catching up with John over a call was refreshing; we discussed meeting in person soon. Then there was the OKPC call, where financial updates were a key topic. My day ended on a high note with an excellent climbing session with Patrick. It's been a productive and fulfilling day.

I fulfilled my 2024 goal of deepening relationships tonight. I rode my bike looking for puddles to splash in after the rain, but found none. Instead, I had a rewarding conversation with Claire and Sam at Ichiban. This interaction was very satisfying.
