Transcript: It feels like so much has happened the last week, and I haven't even gotten to, like, rest or settle down, and I probably won't for at least three days. It feels like there's still a lot for me to do, which I'm excited about. And, yeah, I'm just doing so much. I mean, I was just at my parents' house last week. Went to both sets of, well, went to Granny and Grandpa's house and had Easter there and then also had Grandpa over at our house. That was nice. And then we also went stand-up paddleboarding at Lower Lake Clementine because Upper Lake Clementine was closed for the season still. And I drove home. I drove home on Wednesday. Thursday, I hosted a dinner with Jordan, Kim, and Kristen, and that was amazing, and I really enjoyed having them, and I made a mushroom stew that I was really excited about and stoked about. Also, as soon as I got done driving home on that Wednesday, I went slacklining, and then Thursday, I didn't do any exercise. So, Friday, the plan was for Alex and Chandler and me to go camping at Mount Laguna. The weather was absolutely dog shit, so we, well, Alex came over, and we all met up for Regent's Pizza first. And then Alex came over, slept at my place, and then we went up to Mount Laguna the next morning, which was yesterday. We stopped at Walmart on the way. And then I did a half a tab of acid with Alex, and he did a full tab. And Chandler had a couple beers, and we just went for a hike in the snow, and it was fully fucking snow, like four to eight inches to twelve in certain places. Wild. Never, I mean, been to Mount Laguna when it was snowing, but not in April. And now driving, I just got back today. We stopped at Julian Pie Company with Alex and Chandler. We stopped at Chandler earlier today, and then we also stopped at Trumper's Honey and this kind of place and got some honey. And now going to Raised by Wolves for Jordan's birthday, which is tomorrow. And, yeah, and then tomorrow I have a day to myself, and I am going to have to figure out something to do for a workout. Probably I will go slackline. And then on Tuesday I'm going to get lunch or something with Kristen and then drop her off at the airport. So that's a busy few days. And then Wednesday, theoretically, launching something. But it probably will be Friday. And we will go from there. But. Yeah, has felt like a lot of a lot of busy days and part of me is excited to just relax. I don't even know what that looks like at the moment. Probably showing some stuff. Yeah, I guess we'll kind of get there when we get there, honestly. But yeah. I think. That's that's pretty much it. That's pretty much it. So. And then I don't know. I just have a lot of reflection to do. There's some things that I need to get off my mind. I think. Keep moving forwards. Keep moving forwards every day. Every day. Thank you.
This morning started off late due to a restless night dreaming about the Vision Pro, but it turned out wonderfully. I played disc golf with my friend Ryan and managed to get some writing done, which felt awesome. Later, Keith joined us for more disc golf, and we also spent some time slacklining. I biked to and from the disc golf course, adding a pleasant touch to the day. For lunch, I tried a new place called Chris Ono Grinds and had their volcano chicken, which unfortunately didn't meet my expectations due to its excessive sweetness. Despite that, the day was filled with simple joys like spending quality time with friends without any drama or expectations, just enjoying each other's company. As for the rest of my plans, I'm contemplating a trip to Culp Valley but also recognize the need to focus on completing tasks and making food for myself. Though I want to balance leisure and productivity, I'm aiming for a more significant focus to achieve meaningful progress. In essence, today reinforced the importance of connecting with friends and finding balance in life's activities.

Today was eventful with a pleasant dinner party I hosted for Caroline, Patrick, and Kyle, reuniting this group for the first time in two years. The evening was filled with meaningful conversations, vulnerability, and appreciation for the company. I also visited Nick to help with their business spreadsheets, exploring potential additional income. Tomorrow's plans include a bike ride to Mnemonic to spend time writing and reflecting on recent discussions, fueled by energy and an espresso.

Today was an incredibly energetic and successful day for me. I maintained high energy levels throughout, even though I experienced a slight dip in the afternoon. The highlight was bringing the Mac mini network to life, which now runs a real machine learning model on commodity hardware capable of serving a production-grade API. This milestone makes me extremely excited and marks a significant achievement in the stability and capability of our API. Additionally, I cooked a delicious spinach, garlic, and butter pasta for lunch, with plenty left over for future meals. I also have enough chicken and couscous for another meal, ensuring a tasty week ahead. In the evening, I enjoyed outdoor activities, including riding my bike and slacklining with my friend Ryan in the park. Following this, I had a productive call with Dave and concluded my day with a simple dinner. As the day comes to an end, I plan to meditate and sort out my climbing gear, though I might skip showering since I'll be surfing tomorrow. A bit of kitchen cleanup is also on my to-do list, but overall, I feel immensely satisfied with how the day unfolded. Now, it's time to wind down, embrace the feeling of tiredness, and allow myself to take a much-deserved break.

I had a relaxing day but I'm looking forward to starting work tomorrow, feeling rejuvenated and eager to dive into my tasks. Although I enjoyed my downtime, by evening I was ready to be productive again. My plans include making a dashboard live, getting feedback, and building new UI components, acknowledging that these projects will take time. For the rest of the evening, I plan to relax after having chicken and asparagus for dinner, and I might do some shopping tomorrow or possibly wait until Wednesday.
I had a productive call with Dave and discussed some writing tasks. I did some writing and have an open day tomorrow. I plan to hang out with Jordan, complete some tasks, and enjoy the day. I also biked to a nearby park and spent some time on a slack line, feeling a big flow state.

After a hike, I encountered Steph, leading to ongoing communication about hosting events. We discussed her co-organized salon on the AI alignment problem in March and my interest in hosting a website-building event during startup week, potentially in April or May. We also contemplated a tool for managing our projects and events, like a specialized project management software. Further, we talked about the connection between online communities and the physical gatherings they can inspire, emphasizing the cyclical relationship between the two.

I fulfilled my 2024 goal of deepening relationships tonight. I rode my bike looking for puddles to splash in after the rain, but found none. Instead, I had a rewarding conversation with Claire and Sam at Ichiban. This interaction was very satisfying.

I embarked on an exploration of diagram websites and found a vast amount of content – about 200 unique sites with diverse styles and topics. Ellie's effective categorization into tags and categories helps navigate through them, but the sheer volume presents a risk of overwhelming users. I've discovered personal connections within these sites, including a project I co-signed and work by Weiwei and Spencer. To engage others and prevent information overload on Friday, I'm considering creating a broad scavenger hunt to make the exploration process more interactive and thought-provoking.

Pascal, from Brooklyn, is excited to engage with a new social network and a burrito he just tried. He's currently experiencing winter weather and has consumed a weed gummy before diving into work on the Tanaki app with multiplayer live video features. He plans to get a massage to unwind physically and mentally. Pascal hopes for a feature that enables connection with his audience to avoid feeling isolated and looks forward to interacting with others on the platform.
