Comment: Amazing day yesterday
Transcript: So, I need to talk about yesterday, because yesterday was a really nice day. Jono came over in the morning, and we made some samosas together, and we made a tamarind chutney and a mint chutney ourselves as well. Made some lamb samosas, some mixed potato and lamb, and some potato samosas. And it was really nice to get to do that with him and learn how to deep fry. I think my first time deep frying anything. And also just learned how much better we could do next time in terms of the filling. Like, the potato could have been excellent. The lamb could have been excellent. And it was both kind of just kind of winging it, which was okay, but it could have been so much better. But regardless, it was great. And getting to share some fresh young coconut with Jono was probably the highlight of the day. Just the happiness and joy that came from sharing that with him was really, really wonderful. So I really, really, really appreciate that. And it was just a nice time. Had a short phone call with Josie. And then kind of cleaned up my kitchen and went to Juggling Club. And was juggling. And Edgar was there. Jack was there. I met this other guy named Matt. Mike. I forget. And at some point, Ray showed up as well. And I biked over there. So that was a nice bike ride. And it was so nice to catch up with Ray. It felt like we could just talk for hours. And I had him over for dinner afterwards. And we continued to talk until about 1030. So we hung out for five or six hours just being people. And that was just excellent. And I made the classic garlic chicken thing. And we did a kale salad with some feta, bell pepper, and made a, like, lemon Dijon olive oil vinaigrette with a little bit of dill in there. And that was really quite pleasant. And the garlic chicken, I also put a bit of dill in as well. And a little lemon to finish it off. And cut just some of the savoriness just a tiny, tiny bit. But, yeah, it was a really wonderful day yesterday.
I had a rejuvenating afternoon filled with enjoyable activities and conversations, including a chat with Jamie, a nice talk with John, and catching up with Jono over tea since his return from New Zealand. I also made myself a sandwich, went for a bike ride, and I am looking forward to a homemade dinner of salmon, kale, and rice. It's 7:30 now, and after dinner, I plan to take some time for separate notes regarding calls and such. Today was simply a great day.

Yesterday for breakfast, I had potato hash. Lunch consisted of chicken mushrooms and rice, and for dinner, I enjoyed potato tacos at Kim and Jordan's place. It was a great evening spent catching up with them.

Today was eventful with a pleasant dinner party I hosted for Caroline, Patrick, and Kyle, reuniting this group for the first time in two years. The evening was filled with meaningful conversations, vulnerability, and appreciation for the company. I also visited Nick to help with their business spreadsheets, exploring potential additional income. Tomorrow's plans include a bike ride to Mnemonic to spend time writing and reflecting on recent discussions, fueled by energy and an espresso.
Today, I spent a good chunk of my time wrestling with whisper bindings for Python, making decent progress despite the challenge. My day's culinary highlight was making red beans with a special chicken hatch chili sausage from a local farm, which tasted okay but probably wasn't the best use for such a flavorful sausage. Despite missing other meals, this was a solid attempt, though I pondered if a different type of sausage might have been better and considered altering the cooking technique for added flavor. Additionally, I ventured out for some physical activity, which included biking and slack-lining, where I met up with Edgar, Ryan, and Julian. Julian, in particular, impressed me with his passion for highlining, a fervor so contagious it made the encounter especially enjoyable. With my departure approaching in a couple of days, I'm contemplating creative ways to use up the fresh tomatoes and assortment of potatoes I have at home. My aim is to find interesting culinary uses for them to ensure they don't go to waste.

Today, for breakfast, I indulged in two aloo parathas along with eggs and pickled onions, courtesy of Kim and Jordan. My lunch was rather light, consisting mainly of snacks. Dinner was an enjoyable affair with garlic chicken paired with leftover couscous and salad, with the arugula salad turning out exceptionally well. I noted the dish could benefit from a bit more acidity, perhaps with the addition of tomatoes, but even without, it was phenomenal. It’s a meal I’d consider serving on a date. I’m planning to record another one because it’s just that great. Thank you.
