Feb 5, 2024 - 12:16pmSummary: Jono mentioned that rainy weather is ideal for planting, prompting the person to plant several things. They planted Thai basil, chioga beets, golden beets, and sorrel. The person admits to casually tossing seeds into the ground without considering the space they require. They express a 'hope for the best' attitude towards the growth of the plants.

Transcript: Jono reminded me that it's about to rain and it's a really good time to plant. So, I just got a couple more things in the ground. I put some Thai basil. I put some beets in the ground, I believe chioga beets and golden beets. And I think I also threw sorrel in somewhere. So we'll see what happens with those. I kind of just like toss the seeds in the ground and like, gonna hope for the best. I don't know how much space a bunch of things are taking. So I'm kind of just like toss things in and see what's gonna happen.

Beside the kale, there's bok choy that appears ready to bolt. Towards the right, romaine lettuce with its crisp, vertical leaves and rainbow mizuna with distinct colorful leaves are both flourishing. In contrast, the Brussels sprouts plant seems to be underperforming and doesn't match the vitality of its garden companions. The garden is mulched with straw, and a drip irrigation system is installed for watering.
