Comment: Meditation reflection
Transcript: That was quite the wandering meditation. Going from almost sleep to realizing this is a time where I actively also think about things beyond just meditating and trying to come back to the breath. But realizing how different the time is than spending it on a computer or a phone or even surfing of just breathing and thinking and letting the mind go to wherever it's going kind of shows a lot in a way and seems really valuable to increase the amount of time that is quiet instead of reducing the amount of distraction is increasing this time. Interesting.
The speaker is contemplating taking time off to practice meditation intensely, considering attending a retreat or joining others in the practice, hinting at an instinctive draw towards it. They express uncertainty about how to prioritize this in their life, acknowledging a desire to clear their mind, yet anticipating frustration due to their wandering mind and impatience during meditation. The speaker reflects on a past experience of restlessness during meditation, questioning the importance they place on other things and their difficulty in being present and slowing down. They express a curiosity and a recognition of the need to work on accepting the ability to be present as a valuable aspect of life.
The individual attempted meditation in the morning and considered a second session.
