I've made an exciting discovery about my overlocker machine (Serger) - it can execute a three-thread flatlock stitch. This particular stitch is very suitable for making athletic wear, which is exactly the type of clothing I design. I noticed that Melanzano uses a distinctive exposed stitch with black thread that adds a contrasting detail, revealing the garment's construction. I'm eager to try this technique on some seams and plan to examine my Melanzano jacket to see where this stitching method is applied.

The person is excited about completing three garments over the weekend, including one they started and finished in less than four hours, even while cooking dinner. They are proud of the outcome, acknowledging it's not perfect but are still quite pleased with the workmanship, especially since it went from raw fabric to wearable clothing so quickly. The newly made garment is warm, and they consider adding thumb holes or adjusting the sleeve length, as it's slightly long. They are curious about the fabric type, initially thinking it's Polartec Power Stretch Pro, but upon checking, they find it's Polartec Delta and ponder over its UV resistance.

This project serves as a reminder to be grateful, mostly because reflections revolve around things that bring happiness and gratitude, highlighting a positive default mindset. After a morning surf at Swami's with a longboard lent by Kyle, the experience was a mix of thrilling drops and spills, as well as an adjustment to the board's different feel and the technique required to maneuver it. The waves at Swami's were mellow enough to encourage trying without much fear, making the session enjoyable despite a few wipeouts. Despite the stormy conditions with wind and rain, the day turned out better than expected, providing mediocre to good waves for surfing, making it a pleasantly surprising day.

Sewing provides a form of creative expression and a peaceful outlet for me, allowing for active engagement and a sense of presence while creating tangible items with my hands. It offers an almost otherworldly experience, coupled with the joy of also being able to consume media actively as I work. I cherish sewing among other outlets, and it contributes significantly to fulfilling days, like the one I spent discussing vivid topics with Caroline before coming home to craft a sweatshirt for my friend Chandler. Despite running into a few issues during the process, I'm thrilled with the progress of the sweatshirt and look forward to presenting it to Chandler tomorrow.

This morning, I started learning the basics of bolting for highlining and climbing, including the necessary tools and materials. I realized the importance of acquiring these skills as there are suitable places to bolt, and I'm eager to progress in this direction. In addition to bolting, I finished knitting a pink sweater and am planning to print out a pattern for Chandler's sweater to work on next. While I have other tasks and thoughts to organize, I'm focusing on simpler activities until Caroline arrives, as my weekend plans don't require immediate attention but any progress would be beneficial.
