"Mastering Weekly Meal Planning"

East San Diego-City Heights

Feb 15, 2024 - 12:03pm

Meal plan for this week

The photo shows a handwritten note that appears to be a meal planner with a list of meals and side dishes. The meals listed include Steak with a sauce, Miso Honey Chicken & Asparagus, and Gnocchi with Brussels Sprouts, all referenced as New York Times recipes. The side dishes mentioned are Rice, Potatoes, and Romaine Salad with croutons and a type of vinaigrette. The writing is generally legible, with some words appearing to be corrected or overwritten. There are symbols such as asterisks preceding each item, implying that they are list items. The page is part of a spiral notebook.

"Struggling to Rise and Shine: My Battle with Waking Up Early"

Feb 15, 2024 - 11:58am

I woke up at 6:30 today but finally got out of bed around 7:00, admitting I'm not doing great with waking up early. I have plans to go surfing with Chandler tomorrow at 6:30 in Del Mar, which means I need to be awake by 5:55, ideally, to get out of bed on time. I might consider getting up at 6:00, but I'll have to think about that.

"Morning Meal Musings"

Feb 15, 2024 - 11:34am

Breakfast tacos today

At 11:30, the speaker had just enjoyed homemade breakfast tacos with shallots, mixed greens, and salsa. They are planning to procure more food for cooking later in the day. They are considering a chicken dish for dinner but haven't decided on the specifics. The final plan for the meal is yet to be determined.

"Navigating the Complexities of Benchmarking Language Models with Personal Data"

Feb 15, 2024 - 11:26am

deleted from twitter, mainly because i want to test more with gemini 1.5 before explicitly making criticism. however i do notice shortcomings in gpt4 right now. the internet tends to like hype and not always the reality of how something works. or maybe i dont know shit

The content shows three separate tweets from a Twitter user with the handle @cj_pais. The tweets express thoughts about benchmarking context windows for language models and mention a metaphorical 'needle in a haystack' approach. The user discusses experiences with inputting personal data into GPT4, noting failures when the language model processes large amounts of data at once. They observe better results when breaking down the problem into smaller chunks. Possible issues with GPT's handling of JSON versus plaintext are also mentioned, and the user suggests defining tasks more concretely for benchmarking purposes.

"Crafting a Powerful AI Grant Application"

Feb 15, 2024 - 10:56am

I'm making good progress on the AI grant application, with both the longer description and one-sentence summary feeling satisfactorily crafted. Despite some reservations, the video I've made is likely sufficient, and with most steps completed, I'm now moving onto the demo, aiming to showcase everything in a concise three-minute presentation. This will highlight one personal frame through which to view data, particularly emphasizing social connections and convenience in planning. My ultimate goal is to demonstrate the simplicity of asking a question to retrieve information and to focus on the two key APIs, store and query, to power the application. Focus around these two queries, as with them, essentially any application can be constructed.

"Thriving Raised Bed Garden: A Bountiful Display of Leafy Greens"

East San Diego- City Heights

Feb 15, 2024 - 9:27am

Current garden

A wooden raised garden bed is filled with a variety of plants. On the left, there's a plant with elongated, textured green leaves, possibly Tuscan kale. In the center, smaller green leafy plants are growing densely together. To the right, a green leafy plant with a rosette pattern that could be a type of cabbage or lettuce, and behind it, there's a plant with dark purple, almost black leaves, possibly a variety of purple kale or red cabbage. The garden bed is mulched with what looks like straw, and there appear to be some empty spaces where plants have yet to grow or have been harvested. Small white plant labels are noticeable but the text on them is not legible. A string of small lights runs along the left side of the bed, indicating decorative or functional lighting.

"Productive Day: Sending Off an AI Grant Package and Crafting a Killer App Strategy"

Feb 14, 2024 - 10:35pm

Plans for tomorrow

I have a busy day planned, including sending off a package to the AI grant and hoping to meditate, write, and position my work effectively by the afternoon. Although I'm feeling very tired now, my plan includes getting up at 6:30 am, having breakfast and coffee, and possibly slacklining in the mid-afternoon. I'm still determining the right direction for the AI grant, as I'm trying to build a platform that needs killer apps to succeed. I'll explore positioning it as software tooling and developer tooling in open source to find a resonant and useful framing.

"Productive Business Calls and Future Plans"

Feb 14, 2024 - 10:32pm

Great calls with friends

The speaker had a great call with Pascal, feeling consistently happy after such discussions. They also had a productive call with John, focusing on financial matters and looking for immediate opportunities. The speaker is considering sending notes to Pascal and is keen on maintaining the integrity of the AI grant they are working on. They are exploring market positions and the potential to develop a platform moving forward.

"Delicious Homestyle Meals"

Feb 14, 2024 - 10:31pm

Meals for today

For breakfast, I enjoyed breakfast tacos, followed by leftover steak for lunch. Dinner consisted of a chicken bake. All my meals were consumed at home today, contributing to a pleasant day.

Unrigged Highline Spots: Unexplored Potential in Culp Valley

Feb 14, 2024 - 4:40pm

Potential highlines

The speaker has discovered two potential highline spots in Culp Valley and near a climbing area close to the border that are likely unrigged. These areas are ideal for rigging because they are not crowded and attract little attention. They speculate that within Culp Valley campground, several lines could be set up. They also suggest the possibility of establishing lines up to one kilometer long, acknowledging the difficulty but expressing optimism about their feasibility.
