Comment: Plans for tomorrow
Transcript: So for tomorrow, I mean, it's obvious that I have some things to do. I got a package, more or less, and yeah, we'll just try to do my best on making that happen and sending off to the AI grant and going from there. So that's that, and it's 10.30 right now, feeling quite tired, really, really tired. And I don't think I'm going to surf tomorrow. I would like to get on a Slack line for sure, so I need to think about when and how I can make that happen. Maybe that's a mid-afternoon thing. So let's say the plan for tomorrow is wake up and get out of bed at 6.30, and we will make breakfast and have coffee and probably meditate as well. That's the plan. It hasn't happened yet. And that will be hopefully by around 8 a.m. or 8.30. And from there, I will do my best to write and think about positioning and all of this. And the idea is that I'm done by the afternoon. And then I'll go Slack line, and then I'll go grocery shop. There's a pretty high likelihood that that is not the case. So I will still grocery shop and Slack line in the middle of the day and come back and continue to try to position and write and stuff. Hopefully by the end of the day, we'll be feeling pretty confident in direction for the AI grant. There's many directions that I could go because fundamentally, I am effectively trying to build a platform. And also at the same time, I recognize that the platform needs killer apps to make it really great. So trying to find that pocket is the thing right now and finding something that is resonant and a big enough population or just making it outright useful enough where that's possible. And maybe that is possible when positioned as software tooling and developer tooling and open source software and this kind of thing. In that positioning and framing, maybe it makes sense. So that is a framing that I'm going to try on and try to show it through that lens as effectively as I possibly can and going from there.
After successfully waking up on time today and feeling satisfied with the early start, I plan to make it a nightly routine to wake up at 5:30 a.m. for coffee, breakfast, and quiet time for strategic thinking, particularly about my business plan. Additionally, I aim to complete personal tasks such as doing laundry and meal planning. I'll work until around 1 p.m. before meeting Nick to discuss work related to a spreadsheet and the possibility of negotiating one or two months of free rent.

I fulfilled my 2024 goal of deepening relationships tonight. I rode my bike looking for puddles to splash in after the rain, but found none. Instead, I had a rewarding conversation with Claire and Sam at Ichiban. This interaction was very satisfying.

The speaker is reflecting on their experience with making audio burrito posts, noting that it often requires multiple attempts to get into the correct mindset—similar to drafting written posts. They're grappling with the challenge of monologuing without a clear understanding of the audience, as they are aware that at least John and CJ will hear it, but uncertainty about the wider audience affects their ability to communicate effectively. This creates a 'contextual membrane shakiness' as the speaker finds the lack of audience boundaries difficult to navigate, which they recognize may vary among different people. The speaker concludes by deciding to end the current note and start a new one.

The speaker conveys their frustration with a difficult fundraising experience, describing a particularly unsatisfactory video call with a fund representative. The caller was in a bad mood, hadn't reviewed the provided materials, and hesitated to engage with the product's features. This led to a tense exchange where the speaker challenged the representative's commitment to valuing founders versus purely focusing on financial metrics. Feeling disillusioned, the speaker is left with a distaste for these disengaged "NPCs" and remains focused on their vision of fostering creative and engaging spaces.
