Transcript: So I just got back from the gala for the Freedom Ranch and well it was really nice and I'm genuinely glad that I went. And for me being there was just like damn when especially people telling their stories for me that is kind of why I wanted to be there and the Freedom Ranch is is a place for men to get treatment for drugs and alcohol addiction and I know the stories from Kyle and how it saved his life and I've talked for hours with him about it and hearing more of those stories tonight and seeing these people you know they have their lives together. Not all of them are perfect but a lot of these people have their lives together and it was really powerful for me to see that I think and I'm just really happy for Kyle and I'm seeing him stand up on stage and yeah I don't know I think him in the suit and like he fits the part and you know these little mishaps and things that are not perfect like on the whole I felt like we're still totally fine and yeah I don't know part of me is like maybe I want to be on the board of directors someday. I don't know if that's something that I can do but it's certainly something interesting to me something that interests me mostly to help out in what capacity that I can and again like clearly this is helping people in my community and it has a real impact on them and seeing people who are 20 plus years sober yeah I don't know there's it it's just powerful it's just powerful so I was really grateful to to go to this and just get to experience and feel awkward because like I'm definitely an odd person out there I'm like a remarkably sober person on the whole so it's an interesting event and not having any alcohol or anything at the event was like felt right and I was happy to be there without alcohol honestly this is nice it was nice

Today was eventful with a pleasant dinner party I hosted for Caroline, Patrick, and Kyle, reuniting this group for the first time in two years. The evening was filled with meaningful conversations, vulnerability, and appreciation for the company. I also visited Nick to help with their business spreadsheets, exploring potential additional income. Tomorrow's plans include a bike ride to Mnemonic to spend time writing and reflecting on recent discussions, fueled by energy and an espresso.
I had a pleasant dinner with my friend Kyle, although the Greek food at Hummus was greasy and not remarkable. Afterward, we walked to the beach, encountered an amazing drum circle, and discussed my work, which Kyle expressed an interest in trying, making me feel supported. Kyle imparted some wisdom, suggesting that sharing one's creations with others is the antidote to ego, which resonated with me and encouraged me to share my work. Along with this heartening experience, I enjoyed a simple, refreshing walk by myself earlier in the day, realizing that sometimes a walk is all I need rather than a nap.
Over the weekend, the speaker had an uplifting conversation with friends Kat and Jim about their passion for Highlining. The speaker expressed a strong desire to improve access for the sport and emphasized the significance of understanding its requirements. Overall, the conversation was filled with stories, encouragement, and a shared passion for improving access and understanding of Highlining.

I had dinner with Kyle and it was nice; we also ran into Mike and Zach. Kyle generously paid for my tacos, which I appreciated, and we discussed his case. Overall, it was a pleasant dinner. For lunch and breakfast, I had leftovers and breakfast tacos, respectively, making it a day filled with tacos.
I had an incredible day that felt just like a weekend, even though it was only Thursday. After many years, I reunited with my friend Will Knox, who's back in San Diego. We spent the evening climbing and catching up on everything we've missed over the years, which was really fulfilling. It's amazing to have someone I resonate with deeply in the same city again. Will has grown a lot and we share many interests, including music, which he's eager to introduce me to more of. Our conversation could've gone on for hours, and I'm excited about further developing our relationship and introducing him to my other friends, hoping to integrate him into our climbing outings and social circle. Additionally, the day was packed with fun and food; we grabbed beers at White Labs Brewing, appreciating the unique yeast varieties in their beers, followed by a meal and more beer at Ballast Point. Earlier, I enjoyed lucha libre for lunch with Kim and Jordan, and started the day with rice and beans for breakfast. It's rare to have such perfect days where everything aligns so well, making me extremely grateful. I'm looking forward to the future, but for now, I'm just soaking in the joy of an unexpectedly perfect Thursday.

The speaker conveys their frustration with a difficult fundraising experience, describing a particularly unsatisfactory video call with a fund representative. The caller was in a bad mood, hadn't reviewed the provided materials, and hesitated to engage with the product's features. This led to a tense exchange where the speaker challenged the representative's commitment to valuing founders versus purely focusing on financial metrics. Feeling disillusioned, the speaker is left with a distaste for these disengaged "NPCs" and remains focused on their vision of fostering creative and engaging spaces.

I fulfilled my 2024 goal of deepening relationships tonight. I rode my bike looking for puddles to splash in after the rain, but found none. Instead, I had a rewarding conversation with Claire and Sam at Ichiban. This interaction was very satisfying.
