"Moments of Peace and Adventure at Presidio Park"
Mar 29, 2024 - 12:19pmSummary: Today, I managed to squeeze in a peaceful five-minute meditation, followed by an adventurous outing of slacklining with my friend Edgar at Presidio Park. He was kind enough to start teaching me how to juggle, which has me quite excited. Adding to the day's joy, the weather was simply stunning - everything looked beautifully green, and the view of the water over the bay was breathtaking. Truly, we live in a magnificent place.Transcript: I did a five minute meditation earlier today, and I also just got done slacklining at Presidio Park with Edgar. And I gave him back his Span Set, as well as he started teaching me how to juggle and gave me some practices, basically. Pretty excited about that. And my God, is it a beautiful, gorgeous day. So green, so beautiful. The water over the bay is just magnificent. Magnificent place we live.

I just got home at 6:45 after biking to Golden Hill Park for a couple of hours of slacklining, which was really nice. I met someone named Reese, who's relatively new to slacklining but knows Alonzo and has attended one of his gatherings. It was cool meeting him. I really enjoyed trying to master slacklining, and I feel like I made some progress today. I'm looking forward to doing more slacklining soon, hopefully with others later this week.

I had an incredible day setting up a slackline in Presidio where a bunch of kids got really excited about it. I ended up setting up a second one for them, and their moms were surprisingly grateful, even jokingly offering me a job which made me consider maybe running a kid's outdoor camp one day. The kids also had some adorable insights about fighting climate change. Later, friends like Hamad, Gene, and Ryan joined, and we all had a fantastic time slacklining. Despite needing to leave for a game night I was hosting, the day was filled with good vibes and left me feeling content, yet socially fulfilled and physically tired. It was a balance of engaging outdoors and enjoying company, which made me somewhat hesitant about surfing the next morning, although I still craved being outside.
The writer had a wonderful day and afternoon spent biking to the park and slacklining with Caroline. They set up three slacklines and the writer learned how to use a ratchet, though they were not too happy about it. They also taught Caroline how to do a primitive slackline and she took her first steps on it. The writer made dinner and had leftovers from yesterday's meal for lunch. Overall, it was a nice day.
I had a productive call with Dave and discussed some writing tasks. I did some writing and have an open day tomorrow. I plan to hang out with Jordan, complete some tasks, and enjoy the day. I also biked to a nearby park and spent some time on a slack line, feeling a big flow state.
