"Enlightening Conversation"

Feb 13, 2024 - 6:10pmSummary: The call with Dave was fantastic, offering a chance to catch up and discuss numerous ideas and possibilities. The overlap in their thinking was clear, and there was a need to condense these thoughts into something more tangible. Much of this is being documented on paper, as it seems easier to process than keeping it all in their head. The speaker expresses gratitude and enjoyment from having such conversations.

Transcript: I had a fantastic call with Dave. I mean, getting to catch up a bit and also getting to just talk through everything, always, always, always, always, always, always, it's so helpful talking with people and clear, clear overlap in terms of ideas and possibilities and needing to collapse them into something. So, yeah, I don't even know really what to say. A lot of this is going down on paper as opposed to in here just cause for whatever reason on paper is easier and I just think I have so much to review. So, yeah, but really just wanted to put it out there as like a fantastic thing and a big thank you and always, you know, love having conversations.

The speaker is reflecting on their experience with making audio burrito posts, noting that it often requires multiple attempts to get into the correct mindset—similar to drafting written posts. They're grappling with the challenge of monologuing without a clear understanding of the audience, as they are aware that at least John and CJ will hear it, but uncertainty about the wider audience affects their ability to communicate effectively. This creates a 'contextual membrane shakiness' as the speaker finds the lack of audience boundaries difficult to navigate, which they recognize may vary among different people.
