"Exploring Interactive iMessage Bot Functionality for Personal Use"

Jan 23, 2024 - 8:05pmSummary: Tomorrow, I am interested in experimenting with an iMessage bot out of curiosity to see how it functions when actually implemented, as opposed to just theoretically contemplating its integration within different infrastructure. My intention is to create interactive applications that are engaging and useful, rather than endlessly building unutilized infrastructure. The iMessage bot would be particularly helpful for setting reminders and tracking personal intentions or activities through text messages. Additionally, I am considering incorporating GPS data to enhance the bot's functionality, allowing it to provide a comprehensive picture of my movements without needing to send constant updates, just changes in location.

Transcript: So tomorrow I'd like to play with some kind of app and I think the app that I want to initially play with is an iMessage bot, partially because I'm just curious like what that's gonna be like and yeah basically like programming it outside of the context of programming it programming it outside of the context of the brain is basically building applications on the brain and seeing how it works as opposed to like theoretically everything is in place and I could keep just building out infrastructure infinitely but if that infrastructure doesn't do anything it's not interesting so I think finding the few things to build that are going to be interesting is really important and I think the iMessage bot in particular will be very very helpful especially in the sense like I can just text myself and be like hey you set this intention this week like how are you doing on it hey remind me to tell me about surfing blah blah blah you know I I see that you've been traveling today like what's up curious about like those kind of things and like then adding maybe GPS data in like I just trigger that every five minutes and I can just geocode that and then I can blah blah blah and you're like holy shit like now we're building a picture of what's what's been happening and yeah I'm very curious about that one as well it's like I can probably get pretty dang good data I can log that data I can send it in batches it doesn't even really matter and I can kind of just like compute the difference and send location changes as opposed to like my actual location I only need to send the difference I don't need to send everything but anyhow that's that's for the future
