Transcript: Okay, kind of wrapping up for the day. It's almost 9.30. I haven't eaten dinner, so I need to eat dinner and go to bed. I've just been struggling with Cloudflare's cache. It's pretty aggressively caching things, which is good, but also bad. Apparently, when it caches videos, it does not work on Safari for whatever reason. Getting the right headers sent over is becoming a pain. Probably moving to R2 for a lot of this makes a lot of sense, so that's going to be in the cards very shortly here, because otherwise this is really, really difficult. Other than that, it's doing remarkably well, and a lot of this can be done in memory, which is cool. Today, what we got done was is getting videos. Well, I say getting videos, but I just learned that the limit is 100 megabytes, so we have videos up to 100 megabytes, which if you're taking iPhone videos is like 45 seconds, maybe a minute. That is something that I need to modify this shortcut for probably tomorrow, so we go and hit my guesses R2 first, hit R2, and then go from there. I think that should work. I am also worried about caching the homepage, but that is something to figure out. I also built most of the burrito.place website. It needs to be improved, but more or less it's there. Tomorrow is definitely going to be a day of deploying. Lots of deploying, lots of sending messages out, and then after that, figuring out figuring out next steps. This is a little experiment. We'll see how it goes. If it's only me after a week publishing to it, that's fine. Let's see how it is.

The user's rough plan for tomorrow is to wake up at 6, have coffee, do morning tasks until around 7:30 or 8, get on the computer to work on caching, and then potentially take a break from the computer to do some writing. The focus is on getting the basics done and ensuring the dashboard works consistently and well.
I finished making breakfast tacos and have a day planned with reading, meditation, and possibly writing. My focus for the day is improving the main burrito website to make it interactive and pondering the challenge of making it easily deployable for others without the pain of maintaining a separate instance. I'm contemplating whether to maintain the existing system or create a new one, maybe using Docker to bundle the components. The decision is complicated due to the unique architecture of building decentralized applications and requires further thought.

Today was genuinely good. I enjoyed a brief outing, had a catching-up call with Katie, and worked on getting an app ready for Darren, which I'm hopeful he'll find useful. It's sparked a desire in me to develop a more robust infrastructure, something I see as entirely feasible. Planning for tomorrow, I want to integrate a design from Jordan into my work and, if possible, continue enhancing the app for Darren, focusing on stronger infrastructure and deploying it to a stable, cost-effective, or free hosting service, potentially something like serverless Postgres. Dinner was light, just almonds and some couscous, not quite a meal. After a productive day, I'm feeling pretty exhausted and foresee just watching a YouTube video before bed. I'm looking forward to driving up for coffee tomorrow morning, though I need to check my car's charge for the trip to Encinitas and also plan to do some grocery shopping. I aim to start the day early, enjoy an espresso, buy some beans, perhaps a pastry, and then see where the day takes me. I'm debating between taking my laptop and opting to journal instead, leaning towards the latter to give myself a chance to reflect and process my thoughts. So, that's the roundup of today and the look-ahead for tomorrow.

The new tab page will display updates from "the burrito" source, utilizing cached data. "Lava" is set to run for the purpose of captioning content. There's a plan to create a "Transcribe" website, as well as other tasks, which are intended as a warm-up exercise. These tasks should be completed within a constrained timeframe of two hours, aiming to establish a distributed inference infrastructure for particular models.

Today was a peculiar day that included exploring the Intention website and considering the best approaches to development, amid a struggle with the authentication process and frustrations with OAuth. Progress on a web app was achieved, despite dissatisfaction with its simplistic nature and a switch of rendering methods from React server-side to client back in the pages router, noting the app router's performance benefits. The experience with Next.js was more frustrating than anticipated, leading to doubts about its complexity and a desire for a simpler, more streamlined framework. The day was largely spent battling with development tools, an annoyance when trying to focus on productivity, with thoughts on potentially moving towards more server-side rendering and investigating React's streaming components for future enhancements.
