Comment: Me talking passionately about what I care about, possibly regarding MindPalace

Transcript: Personal data is one of those things that is so extremely valuable to me. And what I care in personal data is making it more accessible to more people. And I do believe that through AI, everyone will be able to effectively program and fetch their personal data extremely easily through natural language. And I think that this is certainly coming as part of AR, and I want to be part of it. It's something that I deeply care about. I want my personal data basically to flow into a system seamlessly. And I'm also just curious, and all my friends are curious about this. And anytime I talk to them, people want this. So, yeah, I've already been building something that is helping me do that. And I would be very grateful. I would be very curious to, A, learn more about Mind Palace, and B, just jump in with my learnings and be able to hopefully contribute as soon as possible. If there's a good fit, I'd love to have a conversation and see if we are truly tracking in the same direction. But from what I can see on the webpages and the screenshots, it seems extremely resonant with what I'm building. And I think that's something that I would be very grateful for. I would be very grateful for myself alone. And I would much rather be working with a group of more talented people than me and contribute and learn as much as possible. I'm unafraid to take risks and tread into the unknown technologically. Technology doesn't scare me. I've worked up and down the stack from effectively hardware and firmware all the way up to web development. I worked with AR three years ago. I have a Vision Pro, and I've developed two Vision Pro apps in the last day. Little tiny, tiny apps. I deployed a text-to-speech API in a day. I contributed to Lama.cpp. I was one of the core developers for OKPC. I wrote the Exquisite Graphics Library. I got into Web3 because I thought Web3 had the possibility to make the personal data thing much easier. I want it for myself, and I want it to be shared between other people in a very easy manner that is encrypted and respects privacy. And also helps me. And generally... I generally navigate the world. Okay. This is just a bunch of words, but this is getting to why. At the end of the day, basically what I'm looking for is I am interested, and I would be so interested to just have a conversation at the very least. If you can spare me 30 minutes of your time, I'll make it worth it. And why I care so much about personal data is because I like doing things in the world. I like surfing. I like highlining. I like climbing. I like building things with my hands. I'm basically endlessly curious and want to play with anything I can get my hands on and learn it as deeply as I can within reason. And these are all things that... I wish to share better with other people, but I would have to spend an inordinate amount of time to do that at the moment. And really, I want it to be very easy because that data should be collected already, and I could then build the thing without having to explicitly make a point to do it. But I would be so game to share everything that I'm learning all of the time. And that's something that I really care about and I want to do, and I want to make that easier and make it more discoverable and just generally make the knowledge base of the world richer for myself and for others and also have personalized things. I want to have a computer understand what kind of food I like. That's so useful. That can help me plan meals.

They express skepticism about current devices like Tab and Rewind catching on but foresee their eventual adoption. They ponder the societal implications of pervasive surveillance and advocate for thoughtful consideration. The author envisions using an AI system to capture and analyze their conversations at home to elucidate thinking patterns and make them accessible. Additionally, they discuss the limitations of vector algorithms in representing complex questions and suggest the need for a new approach. The speaker suggests that while their idea is a starting point, further exploration is necessary to determine its relevance and significance. They reflect on the process of developing a deeper understanding and consider the practical aspects of implementing their thoughts about how the brain is constructed.

"Empowering Individuals: Building a Data-Driven Community"

87.67% similar

The speaker aspires to be part of communities that empower individuals to explore their data and bring value back to themselves. They are willing to take a job in such a space and believe it's worth doing. The goal is to build tools that make it easy for the individual to work with their data directly on a web page. They plan to move to a more reactive front end using Next.js and React, designing a feed and query system possibly using natural language. The speaker also mentions working on embedding audio and ensuring embeddings are accessible. The text discusses the process of obtaining and manipulating data and emphasizes the importance of experimentation and innovation. It uses the metaphor of building a playground to illustrate the iterative nature of the process, acknowledging that initial attempts may be imperfect but can be improved upon through learning from mistakes. The writer anticipates challenges but expresses a hope to avoid negative consequences and eventually achieve success. Finally, the text concludes with a lighthearted remark and a reference to going to sleep.
